Author's hand writing in notebook

Do you have an idea for an article that would be of interest to the readers of our blog?

It can be informative, funny, serious, personal, useful ... most importantly it has to be engaging and relevant to the content of our website. There are many topics that may be of interest to our readers including, but not limited to:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Self-publishing
  • Ebooks
  • Printed books
  • Book genres
  • Book reviews
  • Author biographies
  • Design and typography
  • Your experiences using Obooko
  • Printing
  • Software
  • Reading devices

Whatever you have in mind, please run it by us first for consideration. This opportunity will be in the spirit of 'free' so no monetary payment will come your way or ours. You will however have the option to include a couple of relevant links within the content and a bio at the foot, where we will happily link to your book, blog, website or social page, so you should get a few more visitors heading your way from our popular website. If you have a related product or service that might be useful to our members we are happy to discuss sponsored content: simply drop us a line via the contact form for more details.

How many words?

The longer the better: if you can aim for 1000-2000 words we'll be very happy.

Originality

We won't publish anything that appears or is intended to appear verbatim on other web properties. You must assure us that your post will be exclusive to Obooko and will never be reused. Google penalises websites containing content deemed to be duplicated or copied.

Images

You may provide your own or licensed images from royalty-free collections. Please provide image credits (like the one at the foot of this page). Should you need any assistance, please let us know.

Quality

You must be a very good writer of English. We have high standards and are meticulous when approving posts, which must be exemplary. This said, we may suggest edits if we spot any grammatical or technical issues you may have missed.

Your Bio

Please provide a couple of sentences about yourself along with a headshot if you wish, plus a link you would like us to include in this section.

Submit your article

Please send your initial ideas or finished article via email to writers (at the domain). Alternatively, via our contact form, selecting "Author Enquiry" as the subject from the dropdown menu. We will give it a read-through and get back to you as soon as we can.
