RA Armijo is the pen name of Raymond Armijo, a retired U.S. Air Force Air Traffic Controller and the founder of We Got You 1776, LLC, a Veteran-founded education-technology company and independent publisher in Melbourne, Florida. He wrote The Order Matters: A Plain-Language Guide to VA Education Benefits for Military Families for his own daughter first, when she needed a plan for college and he found the rules behind a military family's education benefits extremely complex, with conflicting information even across official sources. He then put it in the formats people learn from: a printed book, a digital book, reference charts, an app called College Tool, and a website, each pointing to the official sources. It is the work he did for 21 years in the Air Force, making dense rules work for the people who had to live by them. Most of his career was Air Traffic Control, up through Chief Controller. At Air Force Materiel Command headquarters he held two positions at once, the career field's functional manager and its training manager, and wrote the command's supplement to the governing Air Force instruction. In 2026 he completed School Certifying Official training, the coursework that prepares the officials who apply these education benefit rules at a school; he is not a School Certifying Official, and his guides do not replace one. Public libraries have cataloged The Order Matters under both Veterans benefits law and personal finance. From high school JROTC programs to university Veterans offices, schools have written back to say they found The Order Matters extremely beneficial and a great resource. So have Veterans nonprofits and the groups that pack care packages for troops. We Got You 1776 is an independent company and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or the Department of Defense.
