Need for Revenge follows Nicky, a poor Ugandan boy whose scholarship is overshadowed by his girlfriend Hope’s murder. Consumed by grief, he leads a gang in a brutal war against corrupt officials, dismantling militias and redistributing stolen wealth. After his mother Sheirah becomes president, she arrests him. In prison, Nicky renounces violence and becomes a pastor advocating reconciliation. Sheirah reforms Uganda into a prosperous state. Nicky later relocates to Sweden, founding a charity for war orphans. He concludes that revenge, if used at all, carries a lasting cost.
