Earth Wizard

With his experimental implant considered highly successful, Tyler is looking forward to returning to Earth. Instead, betrayed by an older woman on whom he has a painful crush, he is marooned in the middle of an alien jungle full of creatures that want to kill him. The planet's native Salmonde think he's scum, the other humans he meets want to kill him, and his employers consider him a loose end. But the real obstacle to simply surviving is a psychotic AI called ALAN.
