Mr Booger is a delightful and funny bedtime story for young children aged 2-6.
In this story Mr Booger goes to the woods and meets a lot of different animals on his way.
Created by Erwin Brunsveld, who told Mr Booger adventures to his eldest son Eddy. Also Danny, his second son was raised with Mr Booger. When Erwin's little girl was born in 2004 Mr Booger was reintroduced to the family. Mr Booger experiences all sorts of adventures that Rebecca often encountered during the day. Going to bed is always a little happier with Mr Booger!
It took until 2010 for Erwin to first draw Mr Booger after his girlfriend, Astrid, asked him how Mr Booger actually looked.
Excerpt:
Mr Booger wakes up. The sun is shining. “I’d like to go to the woods”, says Mr Booger. It will be fun!
What’s that? A whole procession of ants, and they’re all carrying something. “What are you doing?” asks Mr Booger.
"We’re tidying up the woods a bit", the ants say in unison.
"Oh, that’s good!", says Mr Booger.
"There’s quite a lot of rubbish lying around. I’ll help you!"
Hey, that’s funny. There’s an egg. What’s an egg doing on the ground? "It blew out of my nest, explains Mrs Bird.
Mr Booger helps Mrs Bird put the egg back in the nest.
Mr Owl is sitting on the next blue post.
“Hello, Mr Owl. Is it very far?” Mr Booger asks him. “No, you’re nearly there now”, answers Mr Owl.
“OW! What’s that? An acorn?”. Mr Booger rubs his head and looks upwards.
A squirrel bursts out laughing and almost falls off a branch. Mr Booger hurries on.
What has walked here? Is that a deer’s footprint? Perhaps it’s still around here somewhere.
Where’s the next blue post? Has Mr Booger got lost?
He sees a hollow. “Yoo-hoo, is anyone there?”
Mrs Rabbit appears. “You must go that way, Mr Booger. You’re almost there.”
