If you follow these directions faithfully, you will experience a higher level of belief, and lack of doubt about your life. These affirmations are very powerful. To reiterate, Paul says they are the power of God in us (Romans 1:16). This is because they reveal the righteousness and gifts and promises of God that are ours if we utilize them (Romans 1:17).
I mentioned our ‘identity’ at the beginning. These affirmations have the power to change what we think about ourselves (our identity) and about other people, and about the world around us. Do you have problems in life? If you say NO, you are lying through your teeth. Jesus promised us all we would have problems in life (John 16:33). He also promised we’d be offended by other people.
Gospel Christianity is not what we lawyers call 'an escape clause' from experiencing problems and offenses in our lives. It’s simply a powerful way of coping with them.
