From the book:

APART

Gave you my all and you tear it apart
Now you want to come into my heart
Going back from the end to the start
The heavy pulse of my love’s gone flat

Was in the dark, needed your love as light
Dreaming of time when we shine so bright
Broke my heart, next thing you took a flight
Gone for many years I can't find my sight

Whole world shredding, you tore me apart
My heart is bleeding I can't find my path
Since you left nothing done seems right
I keep search looking to heal this patch

I'm burning in the desert, the sun's so hot
Wishing for your love to come off my heart

SACRIFICE

I lay down my heart chopped in pieces
On this table as I offer my love to you
I'll take the fall for mistakes you made
Spending all my years locked in your jail

I accept to share my future that's with you
I'll sacrifice a great part of my heart for you
Making sure you're covered from life's rain
That fall drops of hardship on some days

I've sacrificed from the past, more to come
This way our love keeps shining like the sun
Growing nations from our loins to come
Caring for each other as we make sacrifices

Faced with same decisions I stand firm I
'll keep sacrificing to keep our hearts

RIVERS

Rivers of Love that flows from creeks
Diverse of tongues all living in peace
Trees in the forest shinning so green
With roots tapping deep into the river

Rivers of love that flows to the city
Gone are years of angst and deceit
Many voices forming one in truce
Ending sounds of guns in the bush

My state of mind with treasure's base
Processed crude thinking to oil my feet
Generating revenues for me in this city
Becoming the garden city of my world

A state I find various of good thoughts
Rivers state, base of oil feeding nations
