Cake with the King’s Program (Facilitator Manual and Workbook) is a call to friendship, designed to bind Christian women together, allowing them to be vulnerable around each other and to realize that they are not alone in the things they face. It is about strengthening their relationship with God and other women and learning to trust again after past disappointments and hurts.
Through these workshops women can start allowing God to fill their lives with new friendships and memories, while they learn how to support each other. Filled with exciting interactive projects and ice breakers, this workshop is designed to assist women with becoming vulnerable, developing their self-esteem and getting to know their true identity and value in Christ, while being assisted by and by assisting other women, to do the same.
‘If you do not know yourself, how can you love yourself? If you cannot love yourself you will never believe that other people can love you. Most importantly, how will you believe that God loves you?’
Excerpt:
This exciting healing workshop runs over four full days, one or two weeks apart. There are also four fun follow up sessions, to strengthen relationships between women in their groups. A one day training session needs to take place between the GL, GLA and the TL’s prior to the workshop or camp. Volunteer TL’s should be screened as people of integrity and members of church communities, with a reference letter from their Pastor / church office.
Women often find one best friend and do not allow other women to gain access to their vulnerabilities, emotions, reflections on and correction of past mistakes, life experiences and struggles, thus the first ice breaker will break these barriers and give cause for women to interact with other women they do not know well yet.

The ideal size for this workshop is between 12 and 36 P’s, but 24 works best, bearing in mind the more P’s you have, the more time the workshop takes to run. Tables should have 6 P’s with 1 TL. Most of the program is run in pairs of 2 P’s.
It is important to note that this program requires an even number of participants as they pair up in two’s for discussions and sit at tables in sixes per group.
With God’s help, this workshop will bring out the best FRIENDS that you can be!
