As earth evolved, bombardment continued
Though impacts few; embryo planets moved
Around Sun, in orbits in company
With the smaller bodies many and many.

1. BIRTH OF EARTH!

Years ten thousand million and more ago
Strange phenomenon BIG BANG, couldn't forgo.
From dust and gas gushing, whirling emerged
Discs of dust-gas cloud and from one disc forged
Solar system some million five thousand
And more years ago; formation hastened
0f Barth from Solar Nebula gases
Hydrogen and helium; cloud condenses;
That started once, there was balance between inward
Material accumulation and outward
Movement of gas and dust, materials-
Raw of the planets; the materials
That were destined inward became the Sun
Physicochemical forces' action
Played well in first stage 'f clouds' evolution
Atoms, molecules, small particles none
Of them were still, all continually
Came into contact as they finally
Swirled around, forming ever larger lumps
Called Planetesimals; and further bumps
Made them big enough for the gravity
Play part significant intensity
In their interactions with each other!
(Computer modeling method hither
Showed: once a certain density had formed
Of Planetesimals, small groups tended
To clump with other groups to form layer
Bodies, and as result of the merger
Came three to five bodies of about same
Size and orbit spacing in the way same
As the Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars!)
Back, four thousand five hundred million years,
As earth evolved, bombardment continued
Though impacts few; embryo planets moved
Around Sun, in orbits in company
With the smaller bodies many and many.
As they continued to collide, smaller
Ones fragmented, until it held fewer
Smaller bodies around the space of each
Growing planet; once barren regions such
Existed, impacts soon became rarer
And involved relative small lumps ever
Of rock, a few kilometers across!
Earth became hotter and hotter, to cross
Even five thousand kelvin, about four
Thousand five hundred million years before;
That's within a few hundred million years
0f Earth's formation; in fierce encounters
Mechanical energy was transformed
Into heat; while Planetesimals crammed
The embryo planet got heated up;
Impact that formed them would have had raised up
Heat enough to melt most of the Earth's core.
Matter denser like iron sank, and Earth's core
A third of its mass, thus formed; there after
Only little mixing between core matter
And mantle; thus laying the foundation
For layered structural upgradation!
